Adobe adds AI podcasts, presentations, and chat editing to Acrobat — here’s what actually changes

 

Adobe is expanding Acrobat beyond PDFs by adding AI-powered features designed to reduce everyday work friction—especially around meetings, presentations, and collaboration.

One of the most practical additions is Generate Podcast. Users can now turn documents like meeting transcripts, reports, notes, and attachments into short, podcast-style audio summaries. Instead of reading long files, you can listen while commuting, preparing for meetings, or catching up on missed discussions.

This isn’t limited to work documents. Newsletters, educational guides, and document collections can also be converted into personalized audio briefings—making information consumption more flexible and time-efficient.

Adobe is also introducing Generate Presentation, which converts existing documents into structured slide decks. Using Acrobat’s AI assistant, users can analyze PDFs, web pages, or reports and automatically create presentation outlines. Slides are then generated using Adobe Express templates, with control over tone and length.

Behind the scenes, Adobe currently uses a Microsoft GPT model for transcription and a Google voice model, though this may evolve as Adobe continues testing its own AI capabilities.

The bigger takeaway: documents are no longer static files. They’re becoming adaptive, multi-format assets—readable, listenable, and presentation-ready.

This is a clear signal of where productivity tools are heading next: less manual rework, more context-aware automation.
